Director General Technical Jobs

Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates against the following positions on
contract basis for a period of three years, extendable based on performance and business need, with the following terms
& conditions: – Eligible Qualifications:
Four years Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical /
Electronics/Telecom along with M.Sc. / M.S / M.E in Telecom, Electronics,
Electrical Engineering/ Information Security or Master in Project
Management / Master in Engineering Management with 15 years of Post
Master Qualification Experience.
(ii) Post qualification experience in the relevant field in a responsible position
in the Government, Regulatory Bodies or in a National/International Telecom
Organization of repute with expertise in the following areas: –
a. Fixed, Wireless, Digital communication, Radio Spectrum
Management, IPLC / DPLC, International submarine links.
b. Familiarity with IEEE, ETSI, ITU, 3GPP/3GPP2 Standards
c. Well versed with latest technical trends (5G, OTT, Cloud Computing,
IoT, Big Data).
d. Ability to effectively represent the organization at national as well as
international forums.
e. Ability to approach negotiation and liaison with stakeholders with a
clear understanding of the key issues and desired outcomes, having
anticipated and identified expectations and concerns of the
stakeholders.
f. Demonstrated ability to supervise projects in a self-directed manner
and to complete within timeline using analytical, problem solving &
leadership skills.
g. Excellent organizational, liaison and time management skills.
(iii) PEC registration is essential, prior to joining the organization
Age Requirement: 55 years (Maximum), Can be relaxed up to further two
years in case of candidate with exceptional academic / professional
background.
Gross Monthly Salary Rs. 524,791/- along with other perks / facilities as per
PTA Policy.
