Summary:

The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi seeks applications from dynamic and result-oriented individuals for the following full-time positions:

Detail:

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintaining and developing effective systems and processes to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the Centre. • Supporting the development of new and existing partnerships and key external stakeholders to support the Center’s research activities. • Research and evaluate potential new business and commercial opportunities and assist in the development, preparation, and submission of research grants and business proposals • Preparing complex proposals within parameters of sponsored and non-sponsored research guidelines. Oversee and communicate submission process, both paper and electronic; resolve issues relating to proposal preparation and submittal process. • Work with the Research Centre’s Director to develop the long and short terms work plans • Tracking ongoing projects and coordinate, design, and assist the Director in preparing professional project reports to funding bodies and the Centre’s annual reports for the University. • To ensure that the Centre’s activities comply with relevant legislation, statutes, regulations, and policy and applicable with requirements of contracts and funding bodies. • Providing support to the Director and senior staff on matters relating to contracts, grants, consultancies, and administer the Centre’s projects and intellectual property management system. • Manage and produce the Centre’s internal and external communications: ensure the Centre’s website is up-to-date and accurate; liaise with the media unit at the University to promote Centre’s activities; gather information for and prepare PowerPoint presentations and business proposals. • Perform other tasks as directed by the Centre’s Director. Qualification: • Master’s degree preferably in social science discipline with the combination of relevant knowledge in research and training from HEC recognized University/Institute Experience: • 5-7 years of experience in management and academia in large R & D organization Core Skills: • Knowledge of personnel management, including proposing effort for and training and hiring students, postgraduate fellows, post-doctoral, academic appointments, regular staff, bargaining unit staff, and consultants, along with the circumstances appropriate for each type of position. • Leadership and management skills, budgeting ability, communication, and presentation skills • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated competencies in dealing with external stakeholders as well as internal staff and students • Experience in interaction with industry, government bodies, and commercial entities to facilitate research collaborations • Excellent Organizational and time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage and respond to changing priorities and deadlines • A broad knowledge of the University’s academic and administrative structure.
