The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi seeks applications from dynamic and result-oriented individuals for the following full-time positions:
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintaining and developing effective systems and processes to ensure the
efficient day-to-day operations of the Centre.
Supporting the development of new and existing partnerships and key external
stakeholders to support the Center’s research activities.
Research and evaluate potential new business and commercial opportunities and
assist in the development, preparation, and submission of research grants and
Preparing complex proposals within parameters of sponsored and non-sponsored
research guidelines. Oversee and communicate submission process, both paper
and electronic; resolve issues relating to proposal preparation and submittal
Work with the Research Centre’s Director to develop the long and short terms
Tracking ongoing projects and coordinate, design, and assist the Director in
preparing professional project reports to funding bodies and the Centre’s annual
reports for the University.
To ensure that the Centre’s activities comply with relevant legislation, statutes,
regulations, and policy and applicable with requirements of contracts and funding
Providing support to the Director and senior staff on matters relating to contracts,
grants, consultancies, and administer the Centre’s projects and intellectual
property management system.
Manage and produce the Centre’s internal and external communications: ensure
the Centre’s website is up-to-date and accurate; liaise with the media unit at the
University to promote Centre’s activities; gather information for and prepare
PowerPoint presentations and business proposals.
Perform other tasks as directed by the Centre’s Director.
Masters degree preferably in social science discipline with the combination of relevant knowledge in research and training from HEC recognized University/Institute
5-7 years of experience in management and academia in large R & D organization
Knowledge of personnel management, including proposing effort for and training and hiring students, postgraduate fellows, post-doctoral, academic appointments, regular staff,
bargaining unit staff, and consultants, along with the circumstances appropriate for each type of position.
Leadership and management skills, budgeting ability, communication, and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated competencies in dealing with external stakeholders as well as internal staff and students
Experience in interaction with industry, government bodies, and commercial entities to facilitate research collaborations
Excellent Organizational and time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage and respond to changing priorities and deadlines
A broad knowledge of the University’s academic and administrative structure.
